Since childhood I have always wanted to help people. I had an interest in counselling, so assumed I would do this through a career as a psychologist or social worker. I got my double degree at University and worked in the mental health industry but for a number of reasons I didn’t feel fulfilled.

As luck would have it, my then boyfriend (now husband) introduced me to the gym, and wow it felt good! Why hadn’t I been doing this all along? It was great to feel healthy and full of energy, and I soon became addicted to the workout buzz!

When I decided to get my qualifications and began working in the fitness industry, I soon realised it was meant to be. I was empowering my clients not only physically but also mentally, emotionally and socially more than I ever could have through my previous work.

After reaching a very high level of fitness I fell pregnant with twins. Due to high risk complications I was forced to lead a sedentary lifestyle during my pregnancy. During those long months I intensely studied scientifically backed research on pre and post-natal exercise. Due to my qualifications in fitness and my very specific and intense research, by the time the twins were born I knew exactly what to do to get back to the condition I was in before pregnancy. That invaluable experience has enabled me to help other mothers get into amazing shape and to flourish.

I have furthered my personal training qualifications to become an Exercise Specialist. This has allowed me to work with doctors and physiotherapists in the rehabilitation of injuries and clients with musculoskeletal conditions, cardiorespiratory and metabolic diseases. This specific training gave me the opportunity to work in the Obesity Clinic at Westmead Hospital. The specialist knowledge I gained through this has transferred to be of great benefit working with overweight clients in gyms.

I am now in my 40s and feel more energetic than I did when I was in my 20s, I owe this to exercise. I enjoy working with all body types to bring out the best in everyone. I am passionate about fitness and love igniting my client’s enthusiasm for exercise!
